Scooters and Ebikes

Dear Neighbors:

The topic of dangerous riding of E-bikes and scooters has surfaced again on social media.  The focus of the posting was the apparent lack of awareness of the current law.  Several respondents’ comments indicated that they were not aware of the applicable laws that applied to what we are witnessing in our community.

Your Fossil Ridge Metropolitan Board of Directors are concerned about the health and safety of our children.  Some of the activities that have been observed are dangerous and illegal.  Parents, please familiarize yourselves with the law and talk to your children about possible consequences.

Please note that the Solterra community has no way to enforce the law other than the residents reporting what you observe to the Lakewood police department.
