In Colorado, metropolitan districts are special tax districts, a form of local government, created to provide municipal services in areas where these do not exist. The three Fossil Ridge Metropolitan Districts (FRMD) are set up according to our Service Plan for FRMD 1 to manage the operations of the Solterra Community, while FRMD 2 & 3 set the tax mill levies required to meet the expenses of the community.

Regular board meetings are held at The Retreat at Solterra (15250 W Evans Ave, Lakewood) and virtually, start at 6:30 PM until further notice, and are open to the public.
